DeMilo Young is a highly dedicated and strategic nonprofit leader with extensive experience in driving organizational growth and impact. As the CEO/Executive Director of the BIPOC Support Foundation, DeMilo is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization’s operations, including strategic planning, program development, financial management, and community partnerships. Under her leadership, the foundation has successfully launched and expanded programs that empower underserved communities, with a particular focus on youth development.
DeMilo has a proven track record in fundraising, having secured over $930,000 in donations through grant writing, donor relations, and strategic partnerships. She excels in building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, community leaders, and corporate partners, ensuring sustained support for the foundation’s mission.
Her extensive experience in business operations, gained from over two decades of managing SoCal Green Screen, LLC & Mr. Disc Jockey, has equipped her with a strong foundation in financial oversight, contract negotiation, and operational efficiency. These skills have been instrumental in ensuring the financial sustainability and growth of the BIPOC Support Foundation.
In addition to her executive role, DeMilo is deeply committed to the arts and youth mentorship. She has led multiple dance companies, organized after-school programs, and served as a board member and judge for various arts organizations, contributing to the cultural enrichment of the community.
DeMilo is currently pursuing a Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership & Management at the University of San Diego, further enhancing her leadership skills and knowledge to better serve the foundation and its beneficiaries.
