In February 2021, the BSF Book Club launched its first virtual session. In partnership with nonprofit organization, Words Alive and under the direction and leadership of longtime educator, Cassiopeia Guthrie, these sessions armed educators with some knowledge of what marginalized students face, provided resources and texts to assist them in engaging in important discussions surrounding equity, belonging and inclusion.
“Interesting, heartwarming, and eye opening stories followed by discussion of how to open ourselves up to greater inclusion.”
- Peggy S.
“The BIPOC Support Foundation's inaugural Book Club event was a great success! The presenters were experts in their fields and the performers brought the books to life. I gained a much greater understanding of the importance of each of the books.”
- Kristianne K.
“ I really enjoyed the presentation on Saturday; so well-designed and engaging.”
